		<description>As journalists, I think we somehow believe we&#039;re pulling the wool over readers&#039; eyes.

No one will notice when we stop running local food sections or feature stories.

No one will notice that we&#039;ve combined business sections with that paper in the town only three hours away.

And no one will ever notice that the papers are shrinking daily -- I&#039;ve even seen this at the college paper where I work.

It&#039;s a version of the emperor&#039;s new clothes, but journalists are perpetrating it. That not only decreases the value of our product; it decreases our credibility, too.</description>
