There was a lot of hoopla in advance about T5 being a model of on time, on budget private finance development compared to the fiasco of Wembley Stadium down the road with state involvement. It all seems to have a gone a bit quiet from that corner this week.

[...] JOURNALISM ICONOCLAST: Journalism students need to know marketing “Gone are the old, outdated concepts that journalists only produce content.
As always, quality work. A great follow up to your prior post.

In essence, marketing yourself comes down to what many journalism students probably have heard already: show, don't tell me about yourself.

Establishing an online presence and doing self-promotion is showing people who you are and why you should be in demand. A paper (or non-html formatted) resume merely tells me about you.

A great expansion on this post -- maybe in a howto style -- would be the best ways to display certain kinds of work: design clips, writing clips, etc. And probably in the way that's most universal and doesn't require a lot of technical knowledge.
