Hey, you make sense.
There are umpteen news outlets that publish their news via Twitter but only a handful that actually embed their reporters' Tweets into their coverage. And it's really not that difficult to do this.

The situation reflects razorsharp the general attitude by the established media that it's them that set the agenda. Twitter is a hybrid tool that allows for blending realities without losing control.

The good news is though that many new metrics are beginning to be available. It's pretty easy to get a good idea of what is topical on a minute by minute basis. Also when big events happen, it's possible to find Twitter users in a jiffy and even send them messages inquiring what the status of play is.

I hope that more news editors out there have the flexibility to at least give the tool a try and I represent over 70 reporters that use Twitter professionally.

Any newspaper editors wishing to build new bridges to audiences, consider using Twitter and check out www.blog.reportwitters.com.

Regards,
Angelique van Engelen.

I've been hesitating on joining twitter. I remember when it launched I though, wow. maybe. But I never have. But if you think about the traffic, then maybe it could work.
