		<description>Have you checked out our output on guardian.co.uk? As well as Guardian Daily, our five days a week news show, we also make programmes on topics as varied as UK media news, music, and technology. Oh, and the highest rated football (soccer) podcast in the UK. 

All the points you make are totally valid and on the money, but I think the one thing you miss out  is the great advantage of podcasts made by news organisations; the expertise and opinion is already in house, and the users will already have a relationship with these experts.</description>

I think what separates the good from the bad is - INSIGHT, you have to be saying something insightful and it works best with an opinion or angle. Simply reading out the news, is not going to get you a gaggle of readers.</description>
