The Intersection is a blog by Patrick Thornton. It’s a blog about the intersection of technology and the liberal arts. It’s not just about technology, but about how people use technology and how technology can make the world a better place.

I am a social media researcher, technologist, conservationist, community builder, journalist, blogger, thinker and trouble maker. I am also the community and social media manager for RarePlanet.

This blog used to be The Journalism Iconoclast. You can read about why I made the change here and here.

I used to run (before our grant ran out) the non-profit journalism project BeatBlogging.Org and occasionally make new posts there.
